MICHIGAN CITY BOAT RACE

MICHIGAN CITY — Festivities for the 8th yearly Great Lakes Grand Prix at Michigan City’s lakefront continue Saturday with a boat parade and block celebration on the list of features.

The powerboat race appears more powerful than ever before with final year’s $9 million financial effect establishing a record the occasion.

“It’s really the trademark occasion for Michigan City. This means a great deal, ” said Jack Arnett, executive manager associated with the LaPorte County Convention & guests Bureau.
