Dragon Boat Racing in Solomons, MD, on August 26th – 27th, 2016!

Southern Maryland Community sources (SMCR) is very happy to announce the 2016 Solomons Island Dragon Boat Festival is held on Friday, August 26th and Saturday, August 27th along the Solomons Island Riverwalk.

This free, family friendly 2 time occasion should include Dragon Boat Races, a starting Ceremony with a Blessing of Boats, Parade of the Teams, Live Bands, fighting styles Demonstrations, market and Food sellers, Dragon/Lion Dance Parade, Wellness Village, Hospitality Tent, and a totally free Parking shuttle on Saturday.

Dragon Boat Racing is becoming one of several fastest developing team water sports occasions! Dragon Boat Teams contain 16 paddlers, a drummer and (an experienced steer individual, given by 22Dragons staff). Groups comprise of cohorts from regional business businesses, families, sporting teams, and any other team that desires to take part, have some fun day, and help raise funds for a fantastic cause. All essential rushing equipment (paddles, ship, life coats) are supplied.
