We finished my Basic Keelboat cruising course with Dave Goeke and discovered a great deal both in the class as well as on the water. It was at Spinnaker Sailing in Redwood City. Dave is an excellent teacher with a huge number of practical experience under their buckle. He covered just the right practices, protection and made it incredibly fun. Not difficult to know knowing that Dave has-been sailing since very youthful, and it is demonstrably something that comes 2nd nature to him. We recommend Dave to all aspiring sailors.

It is an excellent location to learn how to sail. We signed up to one associated with the Spinnaker sailing plans they feature, which includes: Club initiation, fundamental Keelboat and fundamental Coastal cruising. We passed the basic keelboat this week and cannot wait for standard coastal cruising to begin. We in addition joined up with the club as mates users for the time being and we will upgrade to skipper membership once we finish the BCC. That will allow us to sail on our own on their Merits 25. Should you want to take cruising classes, i suggest Richmond, in which I just take my courses, they treat ANYONE really, not just wealthy dudes with shiny new $200k boats.
